WebI've got both. The chief reason I run the AVS professionally is because it's issued. The AAC is a great option and arguably better as a dedicated medium plate carrier. The AVS is basically 3 plate carriers in one. It's a minimalist plate carrier (albeit a poor one), a medium plate carrier, and a full armor chassis.

In harness configuration it's better but a lot of guys don't like it that way.
